Save the Date: UIC’s first-ever Passenger Week

The UIC Passenger Department is proud to announce the inaugural edition of its Passenger Week, taking place onsite from 13 to 16 April 2026 at the UIC Headquarters in Paris.

This landmark event will bring together the global railway passenger community, including CEOs and top executives from railway passenger business units, as well as leading mobility stakeholders and partners, to share knowledge, explore innovation, and shape the future of passenger mobility services.

Designed as a high-level platform for collaboration and strategic dialogue, Passenger Week will feature a rich programme of expert sessions, open discussions, and executive-level meetings, fostering alignment between strategy, operations, and innovation across passenger transport.

Programme highlights

  • Monday 13 April – Expert working group sessions
    The week will open with a day dedicated to UIC working group experts. These sessions will provide a shared environment for technical discussions and ongoing project development within the UIC Passenger groups.
  • Tuesday 14 April – Open Day: Multimodality and innovation in focus
    The Open Day, accessible to all stakeholders and interested participants, will be the highlight of the week.
    • Morning session: A look into multimodal ticketing, exploring current challenges and future opportunities in seamless travel.
    • Afternoon conference: A high-level gathering of key industry stakeholders to discuss the sector’s needs and the UIC-developed tools to support these.
      Four dedicated solution panels will address:
    • Standards
    • User experience & multimodality
    • Sustainability & socio-economic impact
    • Innovation
  • Wednesday 15 and Thursday 16 April – Passenger Services Group & Global Passenger Forum
    The final two days will host the Passenger Services Group (PSG) and the Global Passenger Forum (GPF), which are key governance and strategic meetings for UIC passenger activities.
