The 6th Central Eastern European Assembly took place in UIC, Paris, in 12th of February.
Members from more than 10 countries took part in the meeting.
Jan Grabowski, UIC Manager Central and Eastern Europe, has presented the report about the situation in CEEC railways. Report and the work plan for the year 2009 have been accepted by all the Members. Strong support for the activity dedicated to the countries from Central and Eastern Europe was also underlined by the Group.
Representatives from all the countries participating in the meeting supported the idea of closer cooperation with Community of European Railways (CER) to make the voice of CEEC railways more common.
Next meeting is planned to take place in June 2009.
