The Management Board of Thalys International has appointed Franck Gervais as its new CEO. Franck Gervais succeeds Olivier Poitrenaud, CEO since 2008, who has been selected to run Toulouse’s public transport network.
Franck Gervais, 34, is a graduate of the Ecole Polytechnique and the Ecole Nationale des Ponts et Chaussées. He was Advisor to French Transport Minister Gilles de Robien before joining SNCF, where he acted as Cabinet Director to Presidents Louis Gallois and later on Guillaume Pepy, before being put in charge of the north and west sectors of the Ile de France rail network (SNCF Transilien network).
Important steps were taken under the management of Olivier Poitrenaud in the development of Thalys International: higher speeds, the transition to ERTMS and innovation in services. Franck Gervais henceforth takes the reins to meet upcoming challenges and plan the future. (Source: Thalys International)
