On 1 March 2012, Mr Zdenko Antesic, Deputy Minister of Maritime Affairs, Transport and Infrastructure of Croatia, relieved Mr Zlatko Rogozar of his duty as President of HZ-Holding Management Board, and appointed Mr René Valcic to this position.

Mr René Valcic was born in 1958. He graduated from the Faculty of Economics and Business in Zagreb, where he also earned his Master’s degree in 2008. He joined the railway in 2000, when he was appointed Deputy President of HZ Management Board in charge of Marketing, Finance, Controlling, Procurement, Human Resources and IT. Since 2004 and until his most recent appointment, he has held the position of Consultant for Coordination of Dependant Companies.

UIC Director-General Jean-Pierre Loubinoux and the UIC Board of Directors congratulate Mr Valcic upon his recent appointment as President of the Management Board of HZ Holding. HZ is an important Active Member in the UIC European region, both at institutional level and in the different working groups.
