UIC Director General Jean-Pierre Loubinoux was visited by Dr Choi Yeon Hye, the CEO of KORAIL, and shared views on the vision of a trans-continental railway network.

Jean-Pierre Loubinoux congratulated Dr Choi on KORAIL’s entry to OSJD, saying it will “mark the starting point for realising the vision of a trans-Eurasian railway pursued by the Republic of Korea” and added that it is important to prepare in advance for any institutional and technical issues that could arise in the operation of a trans-continental railway, through cooperation with the member organisations.

UIC and KORAIL also agreed to further develop mutual cooperation.
