On 24 October, the first container train from Turkmenistan to China was sent from Kelif station (Turkmenistan), following in transit through Kazakhstan.
The train will follow the route Kelif - Serhetyaka - Bolashak - Altynkol - Khorgos - Qingdao. It consists of 45x40 foot containers with a load of potassium.
Initiailly, the plan is to send the container train in test mode once a month.
This project was implemented jointly by the Transport and Logistics Centre of Turkmenistan OJSC, KTZ-Express JSC, representative offices of KTZ NC JSC in Turkmenistan and the XUAR (China).
The Turkmen side highly appreciated the work done by KTZ NC JSC and expressed its gratitude for the support of this project and assistance in resolving the issue of reducing the rate on the PRC.
