The UIC Drone4Rail project members are pleased to invite you to a conference dedicated to the UIC strategy on drones for railways, to be held on 11 May 2022 from 14.00 to 17.00 CET.
This hybrid event (UIC HQ in Paris and online) is for UIC members only.
The UIC Drone4Rail group is holding a conference to focus on the strategy for using drones for railway inspection purposes.
UIC is committed to technology use and challenging innovations. The use of drones offers great potential in terms of security, optimisation of maintenance, vegetation control and inspection efficiency. The main purpose is to enable infrastructure managers to dedicate less time and resources to these activities.
The conference will offer an excellent opportunity to hear about important regulatory aspects from the perspective of the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) and the Community of European Railways (CER). Time will also be set aside to learn about specific risk analysis with AirHub, as well as data operation and management procedures with Altametris. This conference will be helpful for both policymakers and railway operators and will serve as an opportunity to collaborate more closely as a railway community.
Programme
- EASA conditions on drone application and European regulatory framework;
- Community of European Railways position regarding the European Regulation;
- Specific Operations Risk Analysis development for drone operations. UIC SORA;
