Disruptions and delays are an inevitable part of the railways. It is vital that the impact of such incidents be minimised to keep passengers safe, allow goods to travel, reduce costs, save time and comply with safety standards.

Whether responding to train breakdowns, trespassing, natural disasters or bridge crashes, and from first alert to incident resolution, quick and simple processes are required to manage, record and learn from what has occurred.

For this reason, the International Railway Summit is organising the webinar “How can we minimise the impact of incidents on rail operators and infrastructure owners?” in association with enterprise incident management experts Qognify. The webinar will take place on 18 October from 11.00–12.30 CEST.

Frédéric Henon, Head of Operations & Safety at UIC, will share his expertise and best practice knowledge gathered from members worldwide.

In addition, Mark Grisdale, Strategic Account Manager – UK at Qognify, will highlight real-world cases. Paolo Guglielminetti, Partner at PwC Italy and Global Railways & Roads Leader at PwC, will guide the debate as moderator. Additional speakers will be announced shortly.

The webinar’s live audience will have the opportunity to put questions to the expert panel. What strategies and technologies can facilitate better decisions and efficient operations?

The webinar is free to attend, but places are limited. To register or to find out more, please visit https://www.irits.org/irswebinars/how-can-we-minimize-the-impact-of-incidents-on-rail-operators-and-infrastructure-owners/
