Project description

Railway infrastructure is the guarantee of safe, stable and reliable operation of trains. With the expanded railway scale and increased railway speed, higher requirements are put forward to the maintenance quality of railway infrastructure.
While the technical means of inspection and maintenance have been gradually modernized and intelligent, In order to cut down the cost of operator, the maintenance strategies also need to be precisely optimized based on the following influencing factors.

  • Traffic type of railway line
  • Train Speed
  • Density of train
  • Axle load of train
  • Environmental conditions
  • Etc.

Therefore, it is necessary to carry out the research on the strategies of railway infrastructure maintenance. By analyzing infrastructure maintenance status of railway with different grades and technical systems in Asia-Pacific and learning from each other, we can put forward railway infrastructure maintenance optimization strategies for different operation needs in Asia-Pacific.
With improving the quality and efficiency of railway infrastructure maintenance, the strategies will give a reference to the transformation of railway in Asia-Pacific to quality and benefit oriented development.
